Show Me The Money...The Lockout is Over!

Now that the NFL Lockout is over, it's time for all involved to get back to work!  Get back to work means the Players, the Owners, the Agents and most importantly the Fans!  In fact, the fans, according to the Commissioner, and all involved was the main driver in getting the new ten year Collective Bargaining Agreement resolved.

NFL CBA

But what does it all mean?  What was the Lock-Out about anyway?  The Quick and Dirty is it is Always about the Money.  Follow the Money and you get to the root of the situation.  However, GirlTD thought it fun to give our fans a cursory glance of what the CBA and the Lockout really means and how it affects us all.

NFL Contract

The Collective Bargaining Agreement aka The CBA aka Players Group Contract is the contract by which the Players and Owners agree to abide by for the number of selected years.  The contract expired and a new one had to be negotiated.

SPF Decoded!

If you thought SPF stood for Sounds Pretty Frustrating, you're not alone.  It's been said time and time again from doctors, beauty experts and yes-these very blog posts, that we all need to wear sunscreen.  We know the dangers: aging, wrinkling, sun damage, and even skin cancer.  We resolve to wear it, grab the cash and head out the door.

But sometime after we arrive at the aisle that's where things get hazy.  There are a gabillion choices, fluorescent lights, elevator music and acronyms like UVA and UVB.  Then there are the numbers.  Do you want your SPF at 15 or 85? Waterproof, sweat proof or both?  Well, not to worry.  Here's everything you need to know about sunscreen and more.

Dante Redux: Terence J Returns To The Game!

After leaving Tasha Mack to dine alone, fans of The Game thought we'd seen the last of Dante played by Terence J.  Then he showed up again, this time to save her from embarrassment, rather than cause it.  Still, it was clear, Tasha didn't stand a chance at a reconciliation with Dante.

As far as we knew, Dante had gone the way of Rick Fox-only to be mentioned but never to be seen again. But just a couple of weeks ago at the Essence Music Festival, Terence J confirmed that he is indeed filming episodes for the upcoming 5th season of the game.  Now whether he and Tasha rekindle a romance, remains to be seen.

The actor participated in a panel with fellow actors, Lamman Rucker, Laz Alonso, singer Tank, and Lance Gross, to discuss relationships.  When asked what few new about him, Terence admitted that like his character, Dante, he really is attracted to older women.  Interesting. I'm sure he could use that for the role, but whether he and Tasha rekindle a romance remains to be seen.

In addition to 106 & Park and The Game aren't the only thing on his plate.  Terence J isn't letting any grass grow under his feet.  The emerging star also confirmed that he will star alongside Kevin Hart and Taraji P. Henson in the film adaptation of Steve Harvey's best-seller, Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man.

Proud Mama!

Tia Mowry has taken on two new roles: mother and author.  Just last month Tia and husband Cory Hardrict welcomed their new baby boy.  Now, the actress, wife and new mom, will penn a book about her experience as a new mother.  But you won't have to wait until season 5 of The Game to see her again.

This fall, Tia along with twin sister Tamera will return to the Style Network with their reality show, Tia and Tamera Take Two. Previously, the show focused on Tia helping her sister find a date.  This time around, the sisters will detail Tia's pregnancy experience as well as preparation for Tamera's wedding, which took place earlier this year.  Stay tuned!

Before You Push That Button

Kelly Pitts Goes Viral
Remember, this past season on The Game when a video of Kelly dancing seductively went viral on the net.  Grant it, Kelly had a reality show and was looking for attention-like a lot of wannabees.  But having millions of views and hits couldn't compare to what it did to her real life.  She was embarrassed that her daughter saw her like that, her friends and Sunbeams looked at her differently and it gave her ex-husband, Jason,  a boost in emotional ammunition to use against her.  Basically, she got more than she bargained for and none of it was positive.

These days you don't have to have extraordinary talent to become a celebrity.  Just five years ago most celebrities would tell you that there was really no such thing as an overnight success.  In 2011 it doesn't even take all night.  Just remember last years cases of Ted Williams and Antoine Dodson.  A YouTube snippet less than five minutes long changed their lives, income, and addresses.  They both became household names. Sadly, what happens to most people is what happened to Kelly.

So before you post it, Like it, or tweet it, here's a few things to keep in mind.
