Perserverance: Giants Snatch Super Bowl XLVI The ReCap

It started out as a lackluster game, with mediocre at best, musical talent.  Sure, the talent pool definitely posesses the chops, but the production seemed to level off quickly.  Maybe the fans were blocked from getting hyped until well into the second quarter.  Teams instead of individual players were announced at thestart and even the commercial pool flatlined early.

Super Bowl XlVI Champions

The Giants took the lead early, on a critical mistake.  Brady called for Intentional Grounding while still in the pocket in the endzone.  Safety--2 points for the Giants.  A touchdown by Victor Cruz laced with his signature Salsa move put the Giants up 9 Zip.

By the end of the 1st half, the Patriots score twice.  Pats go into the half ahead.  Because they won the coin toss, the Pats get the ball back at the beginning of the 2nd half and officially turns momentum in their favor by scoring another touchdown.

However a series of mistakes, dropped passes, 12 men on the field (only 11 allowed at a time) and failure to convert Giant mistakes into turnovers allows the Giants to regain momentum.  It is the pass from Manning to Manninham, 38 yard pass that sets up Bradshaw to walk (literally walk) into the endzone to score that puts Giants up by four.

MVP Eli Manning

With less than 10 seconds left, Brady throws a Hail Mary that fails----It's DejaBlue all over again!  The Giants snatch the win 21-17.  Eli Manning is the MVP but as Bradshaw proudly totes, 53 team members deserve MVP.  Manning graciously concurs!

Congratulations Giants!  The next win.....Sabers!  Go Blue!
