| Jenna performs, Sabers look on in dismay |
Last week we were left with the thought that Malik was getting arrested and possibly going to miss the Championship Game chasing behind his newly released Re-hab drug addicted supermodel. However, whatever was said in the back of the squad car worked. The police get Malik and Jenna to the stadium, just minutes before the clock ticks down for kick-off.
Melanie, still at the airport is cheering her man on in front of the monitors. Rick Fox puts a bug in her ear about the importance of her rooting for him in the stadium, instead of the first class lounge. He goes on to insist how she is making a mistake and he should know, he made a major one with Tasha. He also reveals the real reason why he and Tasha broke up in the first place. "I told Tasha I was going to Dancing With The Stars...she heard I'm going to Dancing With The Stars for something better. She has abandonment issues...." Melanie concurs. However, she gets it because Melanie shows up in the locker room looking fabulous, just as the guys are celebrating the Saber win! Derwin is more than delighted because it is a sign that Melanie is not going to Johns Hopkins--she's changed her mind--he thinks.
Tasha and pookie are stuck at home, Tasha is still sick but desperately trying to make it to the after party to support her son. Pookie, begins to undress his woman to place her back in bed. "We can celebrate with him tomorrow." He demands. Tasha gets it and relents. "...I prayed to God that I would find a man who loves me and would take care of me when I got sick....thank you...." Tasha got it, let's just hope she keeps it.
Chardonnay is on the bus but becomes infuriated when the driver passes her stop. The bus driver makes a detour to an entirely unwarranted location. As Chardonnay blasts him with, "I'm suing the city, you, your mama and your dog, the bus stops in front of Jason standing in front of a store front. Chardonnay runs off of the bus and kicks Jason in the jewels. "You think you were just going to dump me with no consequences?!" She yells. Bent over in pain Jason reveals, the break-up, firing and bus detour was a romantic ploy to get her to his surprise. He's built Spa-dannay and he gets on one knee and asks Chardonnay to stay married to him. Guess that little conversation with Kelly did some good.
The after party continues in the V.I.P. lounge of Mercy. Jason and Chardonnay announce their marriage but Jenna obviously high, drunk or both is performing in V.I.P. lounge much to Malik's dismay. Yes, it is so bad, Malik is embarrassed. He pulls her out of the club.
Melanie reveals to Derwin that she is still going to Maryland, tonight despite the fact that she is hanging out with him after the championship. He pulls her aside, to dissuade her. It doesn't work, she's going and he misunderstood her actions. "I've been rooting for you until my voice has gone dry whether you hear me or not, that's support. I need you to root for me for once." Derwin storms off, he doesn't want to hear it.
Finally, we watch a beautiful love scene between Mr. and Mrs. Pitts but on the other side of town, Malik is returning Jenna to ReHab. "I love you. I hope you stay in long enough to get well. I can't save you...I love you." Jenna returns Malik's love with a hock and a spit.
Melanie is at the airport waiting to board the red-eye. She and Derwin are on the phone and she explains that yes she's still going, she has to. While on the phone, Melanie looks up. Derwin is actually at the airport, ready to board the plane with her. "It's time that I root for you from the sideline." Derwin explains.
Malik is back to vintage Malik. Sad he's had to deposit his woman back into Rehab, he orders up a celebration which includes, sexual consent forms from all of the women that are about to attend the party as well as a number of other forbidden fruits. He orders more room in the hotel, because he and his crew are about to blow the walls out. And by the way, "...get me a trainer and a chef because after the parade tomorrow, I gotta get back on my game..."
The Teaser: Tasha resting, nestled in the arms of her man, gets a phone call. It's none other than Rick Fox. I guess he's trying to fix what went wrong between them. The question for next season is, will she answer?
GirlTD's question for you is should Tasha answer and if so, what should she say? What did you think about the Finale? Tasha Mack thanks her fans!

Loved it..... LOVED IT !!! The writers did a fabulous job closing out the season. This episode showed love, compassion, struggle, and growth in all the characters. You could not help but see yourself somewhere in this episode, at least for me. Whether, Melanie and Derwin return next season glad they ended it showing him rooting for his wife. Tasha and Rick Fox. Should she answer?? Well curiosity killed the cat!! I, for one would want to know what he would have to say. But,there is something to be said about a man that puts you firts and makes you feel special. Go Pookie!! I can't wait until next season.... Love THE GAME !!!
ReplyDeleteThis episode is what the entire season should have been. Glad to see Malik, the real Malik is back, Tasha's in love, Jason is in a relationship, and Melanie and Derwin are solid (I just wish they were coming back). After that episode, I might come back too. Season 6?...we'll see.
ReplyDeleteThe season finale was excellent. I agree with the other comments. I watched the extra clip you provided with Wendy Raquel Robinson who asked us to trust the writing. I may give you a chance next season, but I don't trust the writers or the network. When you had my trust you messed over it. Don't ask me to trust you when you haven't earned it.
